Established in April 2023 and headquartered in Shewrapara, Mirpur, Dhaka, Away Scholars has rapidly earned recognition as a trusted partner for individuals seeking educational and employment opportunities in Japan. With a commitment to making quality Japanese language education accessible across the country, the organization has expanded its presence beyond Dhaka, including a successful branch operation in Chandpur. To support learners from different regions, Away Scholars also provides student accommodation facilities in a safe and supportive learning environment.
Since its inception, Away Scholars has successfully assisted more than 100 students in pursuing higher education in Japan. In addition, numerous candidates have secured employment opportunities with reputable Japanese companies through various work visa pathways, reflecting the effectiveness of the institution’s education, training, and career development programs.
Away Scholars currently provides services for Student Visa and Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) Visa pathways and is actively preparing to expand its services to include the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP). Through these initiatives, the organization aims to create greater opportunities for Bangladeshi talent in Japan’s education and labor markets.
The institution offers end-to-end support throughout the entire journey to Japan, including Japanese language education, admission assistance, documentation support, application processing, visa guidance, pre-departure orientation, air ticket arrangements, and post-arrival assistance. History & Evolution of Away Scholars
🌱 A Humble Beginning
The journey of Away Scholars began in April 2023 with a simple yet meaningful dream—to help Bangladeshi students and job seekers build a brighter future through education and career opportunities in Japan. What started as a small office in Mehedi Mollic Plaza, West Kafrul, with just two students and two dedicated employees, has gradually grown into a trusted institution serving hundreds of aspiring learners.
📚 Building the Foundation
In the early days, our resources were limited, but our determination was unwavering. As more students placed their trust in us, we launched our first Japanese language batch with seven students. The growing interest in our programs inspired us to expand our facilities and move to a larger space within the same building, creating a more comfortable and effective learning environment.
✈️ Our First Success in Japan
A defining milestone came in April 2024, when Away Scholars successfully sent its first students to Japan. For our team, this achievement represented far more than a successful intake—it was the realization of our vision in action. It strengthened the confidence of students and parents while motivating us to continue raising our standards of service and support.
📈 Continuous Growth
Over the following years, Away Scholars continued to grow steadily. More students enrolled in our Japanese language programs, an increasing number of candidates pursued careers in Japan through the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) pathway, and our team expanded to meet the growing demand. With every successful intake, we gained valuable experience and reinforced our commitment to delivering reliable, professional, and student-focused services.

In September 2025, we took another significant step forward by relocating to our current campus in Shewrapara, Dhaka. The new office provides a larger, more comfortable, and well-equipped environment for both students and staff, featuring multiple classrooms, dedicated workspaces, a professional interview room, and modern facilities designed to enhance learning and counseling.
