Obtain Language Certification
The candidate must first pass a recognized Japanese language proficiency test. While the N5 level provides a foundation, the required minimum is generally JLPT N4 or the JFT-Basic test (which is equivalent to N4/A2), proving the ability to understand basic everyday Japanese.
Acquire Skills Certification
Concurrently, the candidate must pass the sector-specific skills test for their desired field, such as Caregiver, Agriculture, Construction, or Truck Driving, proving they possess the necessary expertise to work immediately.
Secure Job and Interview
Armed with both certifications, the candidate secures an employment contract by successfully interviewing with a Japanese "Accepting Organization" (company) in their skilled sector.
COE File Submission
The Japanese company acts on behalf of the candidate, submitting the comprehensive application, including the employment contract and the request for a Certificate of Eligibility (COE), to the Japanese Immigration Services Agency.
COE Issuance
After review, which typically takes one to three months, Japanese Immigration issues the COE to the company, who then forwards it to the candidate.
Final Visa Application and Issuance
The candidate takes the COE and other required documents to the Japanese Embassy or Consulate in Bangladesh. Because the COE has pre-approved the status, the final visa issuance is generally very fast, often completed within 45 days from the time of submission at the embassy.
