Meet Language Requirement

The student must first achieve the required Japanese language proficiency, typically by passing the JLPT N5 level or NAT-TEST N5 level. In some cases, N4 level proficiency may also be required.

School Application and Interview

The student applies to a Japanese language school and participates in a selection interview arranged by the school to demonstrate motivation, seriousness, and commitment.

COE File Submission

Upon acceptance, the student submits the required academic and financial documents to the school. The school then prepares and files the complete application, including the request for a Certificate of Eligibility (COE), with the Immigration Services Agency of Japan. The immigration screening process usually takes two to three months.

COE Issuance and Tuition Payment

Once the COE is approved, the student is required to pay the prescribed tuition fees to the school. Upon confirmation of payment, the COE copy and Letter of Acceptance are issued to the student.

Visa Application at Embassy

The student must submit the original passport, Certificate of Eligibility (COE) copy, and all required supporting documents to the Japanese Embassy, Consulate, or designated Visa Application Centre in Bangladesh for student visa processing.

Visa Issuance

The embassy reviews the application (often within 5 to 10 working days when a COE is presented) and grants the Student Visa, allowing the student to travel to Japan.
