Meet Language Requirement
The student must first achieve the necessary Japanese language proficiency, typically by passing the JLPT N5 level or NAT.
School Application and Interview
The student applies to a Japanese school and participates in a selection interview arranged by the school to prove motivation and commitment.
COE File Submission
Upon acceptance, the student provides financial and academic documents to the school. The school then submits the complete application, including the request for a Certificate of Eligibility (COE), to the Japanese Immigration Services Agency in Japan. This immigration review process usually takes one to three months.
COE Issuance and Tuition Payment
Once the COE is approved, the student pays the required tuition fees to the school and receives the original COE and Letter of Acceptance.
Visa Application at Embassy
The student takes the COE, passport, and other necessary documents to the Japanese Embassy or Consulate (or the designated Visa Application Centre) in Bangladesh.
Visa Issuance
The embassy reviews the application (often within 5 to 10 working days when a COE is presented) and grants the Student Visa, allowing the student to travel to Japan.
